Tech Heaven on the Horizon

Well first of we have the long anticipated release of apples Snow Leopard which already has a confirmed release date of september 2009 but there is more on the horizon for us consumers, first off there has been talk of an august release date for the long awaited windows 7, this is estimated to be two days after the RTM date of august 6th, but I'm gonna put a bet on that this will only be for OEM's, a speculated release date of september is much more likely for the public, as Microsoft have confirmed that the 35% off coupons will be in effect from september onwards.

Finally i have been scanning the rumor channels for confirmations on this idea that apple are planning a revision of their ipod touch, at least 15 different sites show evidence or spread rumors that apple have purchased a vast amount of camera modules and the cameras are different from those in the 3GS so one can only assume they are planning a new device for the market, and accounting for the fact that apple have a classic date for ipod releases in september it looks good for consumers, it would make sense for apple to add a camera to the ipod touch line since the touch already runs the 3.0 software that the iphone does, it would mean minimal input for apple to release an ipod with voip and video camera capabilities, but then that would mean that there was a much cheaper and just as good version of the iphone on the market which could push down their iphone sales, there is a pretty large moral dilemma here for them because they can ether release the ipod with a camera, mic, and better chipsets but possibly drive down sales of the iphone, or they could release an ipod with better chipset but no camera or mic but not sell any higher percentage of units in the market due to lack of interest, from speculation of the news though it would do apple some favors to release a camera wielding ipod touch since they have just released news that they cant make enough 3GS units due to high demand when first released, this would be a possible way to ease the tension of their customers.
